Parking at our Charlevoix Location
Customer Vehicle Parking & Responsibility Policy
At the Fresh Air Aviation Charlevoix Location, we provide paid parking spaces for customer vehicles. While we take reasonable steps to maintain access to parked vehicles, the responsibility for the vehicle itself remains with the customer.
1. Parking Agreement
Payment for parking secures a designated space only. It does not include vehicle maintenance, mechanical assistance, security services, or vehicle relocation.
2. Vehicle Starting Issues
- If a vehicle does not start, Charlevoix staff may attempt a single battery boost (jump start), where feasible.
- If the vehicle cannot be started after one attempt, the customer will be notified.
- At that point, it becomes the customer’s responsibility to arrange further assistance (e.g., towing service or mechanical support).
3. Vehicle Mobility & Weather Conditions
- Charlevoix staff may clear snow or provide reasonable access to the vehicle.
- If a vehicle is unable to move under its own power (e.g., due to tires, drivetrain limitations, or weather conditions), the customer will be notified.
- The customer is responsible for arranging any required assistance, including towing.
4. Towing & Vehicle Movement
- Charlevoix staff does not tow, push, or otherwise move customer vehicles.
- We provide access to the vehicle only; any movement beyond that is the responsibility of the customer.
5. Liability Disclaimer
- Charlevoix staff is not responsible for theft, vandalism, or damage to vehicles or their contents.
- Charlevoix staff is not liable for any damage caused by other customers, including but not limited to negligent or improper operation of their vehicles.
- Customers park at their own risk.
6. Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring their vehicle is in operable condition and suitable for the conditions in which it is parked.
7. Notification
When issues arise that prevent a vehicle from starting or moving, Charlevoix staff will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer using the contact information on file.

The Charlevoix office staff provides parking space and access only. Any mechanical issues, mobility limitations, towing, theft, or damage are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.

Much of what Beaver Island offers is free for the finding: beach combing, bird watching, biking, camping, hunting, fishing in the bays or inland lakes, cross country skiing, or exploring the outer islands. There are over 100 miles of scenic roads and too many old trails to count. Shipwrecks. Abandoned old Mormon cabins. Beaver dams. Splendid fall colors. The beauty of wildflowers. The more people enjoy just getting away, they more they love Beaver Island.
Fresh Air Aviation is available for flights year round. Flights are based on demand and we recommend that you give us a call when you have a date and time in mind you would like to travel. Reservations in advance are recommended.
